About the course
The goal of this presentation is to provide attendees with information on instrumentation processing methods and requirements.
Attendees will learn that by implementing a systematic approach to developing instrument processing protocols, along with utilizing Nordent's Concierge Cassettes, they will be able to reduce the risk of disease transmission in the clinical setting and increase productivity.
Learning Objectives
Develop a systematic approach for instrument processing workflow and sterility assurance
Identify governmental and regulatory agencies that provide regulations, guidelines, and recommendations concerned with infection control in the dental setting
List and describe the steps and considerations in instrumentation processing workflow
Decrease the risk of infection transmission and cost of care associated with improper instrumentation processing systems by using Custom Concierge Cassettes by Nordent
Enhance clinician and patient safety in the dental practice

Dr. Joy Void-Holmes
Dr. Joy D. Void-Holmes holds a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University and is a registered dental hygienist with over 25 years of clinical experience in private practice. She is founder of Dr. Joy, RDH™ and creator of the Dental Hygiene Student Planner™. Dr. Joy is program chair for Fortis College Landover Dental Hygiene Program and holds a faculty position at the American Denturist School. Dr. Joy is a professional speaker and published author. She has presented continuing education courses nationally and internationally in the areas of instrumentation, ultrasonics, infection control, nutrition and biochemistry, cultural diversity and inclusion, silver diamine fluoride and glass ionomers along with her signature keynote, Confidence and Courage She serves as a Consultant Examiner for the CDCA examination board and is Past President of The Maryland Dental Hygienists' Association. Dr. Joy is an active member of The American Academy of Dental Hygienists, The American Dental Hygienists' Association and The Maryland Dental Action Coalition.
