The use of ultrasonic instrumentation in dentistry in the wake of COVID-19 has been controversial. While dental health care practitioners (DHCP) are waiting for research that will determine and provide finite guidelines on the use of ultrasonics, many are choosing to use hand instruments exclusively to minimize aerosols.

This course is intended to introduce the DHCP to unique instrument designs by Nordent. These unique designs allow the DHCP to provide advances care while preserving tooth structure and reducing the incidence of musculoskeletal disorders.

At the conclusion of this presentation, the DHCP will have a better understanding and confidence in their hand scaling techniques.

At the end of the course, YOU will be able to:

  • Identify unique instrument designs by Nordent

  • Highlight technological advancements used to make Nordent instruments superior quality

  • Implement proper use of hand instruments for effective removal of calculus deposits and plaque biofilm
